Reluctantly I'm posting on here because I don't really consider that 3 children amount to a large family however holiday companies clearly do. I'd like to go on holiday on a plane for the October 1/2 term. me, Dh, dd11 ds1 9 and ds2 2. Every where wants us to have 2 rooms firstly making it expensive and secondly I'd like to be with my husband. What does anyone else do are? there special larger family tour operaters, which countries are best at providing family rooms? Or are we banned from holidaying becase we are a family of 5.
Help please it's driving me mad!

We usually stay in an apartment then you can just get what you want in terms of bedrooms etc.
We are 5 too.

we go camping or use a mobile home - in france - this year going to holland - 5 of us end of august mobile home -holland under £500 and my kids are all teenagers - so with this type of holiday we pay for the mobile home - not per person. or else i would be paying for 5 adults!!

Holland sounds nice, never though of there.

Found some villas last night through Alpha rooms so might get that holiday after all DD will be 12 in January and I think she'll be classed as adult by most companies so will be definately needing per apartment/mobile home holidays by then.

Thankyou for replies

some hotels do 2 rooms but with an adjoining door. you can lock the outer door of the kids room and then you're all in together but slightly separate. we usually camp but stayed in a hotel for a wedding we went to last year.
