As the title suggests has anyone had a lap and dye and then concieved and if so how long were your TTC before and after?
(Although perhaps you would no longer be on the infertility page if it's been a success but I don't know where else to ask)
We've been TTC for over 3 years with no hint of a BFP all tests so far have shown no obvious reason and I'm due to have a lap and dye on Monday which I'm nervous about so want to try and calm my nerves with some success stories.
One of my tubes was a bit iffy when I had a HSG but I have a regular cycle and no symptoms of endometriosis so I'm not really sure what the lap and dye can do for me other than be another tick in a box for covering all bases.
TIA

I did. In November 2013 I had a lap where they discovered a blocked tube and managed to clear it and got my first ever BFP at the end of January 2014. It didn't end happily but the lap definitely helped. We were trying 3 years before that so it had to be my iffy tube. I'm now 38 weeks pregnant now after ivf as i didn't managed to conceive again naturally.
If you reason to think that your tubes are blocked then I would really recommend a lap. Good luck x

I did! TTC for three years. Had lap and dye (tubes were clear) and my next period never arrived but DD did just over nine months later! Smile Good luck.

My friend did. She also worried herself unnecessarily as she had been told to abstain in the run up to the lap and dye but didn't as she couldn't bear to miss one very long cycle and conceived that month. Baby is 21 y o next month

Yep. Took another two years, and Clomid, but I did!

Yes I had a lap and dye after months without a period.
Baby was born nine months later!
I thought the lap and dye was just diagnostic but was told afterwards that it's common for it to help with getting pregnant too
The best of luck.

One of my tubes was found during the lap and dye to be a bit blocked and the lap and dye cleared it. Fell pregnant with Dd that month. She's 6 now.

Yes I did right away in March. Stay positive!!!

Unfortunately it wasn't to be for me and I have now finally had a hysteroscopy with camera which found scarring on one side of womb - Asherman's syndrome.

Get everything checked and do your own research, don't rely on NHS. They don't even know what it is and I had to tell them..,

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be one of the lucky ones I've now had my lap and dye and hycosy and all it found was the one dodgy fallopian tube that was suggested on the HSG so I think when I go back for my next consult they will discuss removal of this tube as there's some suggestion the fluid from the bad tube can drip into the womb and make it toxic for implantation (or at least that's my understanding of what I've read on the net) I suppose at least it's one step closer.
