Anyone used Oxford Online Pharmacy for Clomid?

Hey all. Been trying ttc #2 for 18 months, had an MC (Oct 14) and MMC (Aug 15). I'm almost 39 years old and been told by my GP that I can't get any fertility treatment on the NHS.

I've come across the Oxford Online Pharmacy and have read reputable reviews for it. I'm thinking of using it to buy Clomid to help strengthen my ovulation. Has anyone used this service before? Can't afford to go private for consultations etc so feel this would be a more affordable way to help me get pregnant.

Any experiences that anyone would be happy to share with me please?

(I've nc for this thread as I'm fairly frequent poster on MN).

Do not let your own very real and understandable desperation to conceive put your own self at potential risk here.

I would not buy clomid online regardless of how seemingly reputable the site is and or reviews are. Such sites are also unregulated and the phrase "buyer beware" certainly applies. How would you know that the drugs are actually the genuine article?. Simply put, you would not know for certain that these were genuine.

You need a diagnosis first and foremost and both of you should be tested further to this end.

Clomid is quite powerful stuff so monitoring should be done whilst a patient is on this. If you were not monitored you would not know whether it was working as it should be. Also it is not suitable for all women to take and some women do become resistant to clomid. If it was shown that you were indeed ovulating then clomid can actually have the opposite effect.

Healthcare at home is what my clinic recommended and Asda's pharmacy is also quite reasonable with pricing when i researched for different drugs i needed for IVF.

FYI your GP is talking bullshit. I am 39, and have 2 ds and multiple mc's. In the last 12 months I have had a hysteroscopy on NHS, all standard rmc tests on NHS which showed I tested positive for lupus anticoagulant test which means I need clexane, and am currently on my first cycle using clomid on NHS, which includes a monitoring scan on Monday and another one tomorrow. It was an NHS consultant who arranged all this, and he also prescribed progesterone pessaries. You need to get a referral to a fertility doctor at a hospital, you won't get anything via your GP.

I also paid £360 to go to the Coventry Implantation Clinic. They test for Natural Killer Cells, self funded NHS. £360 is one off all in cost. My NK was normal but they diagnosed PCOS as a result of me going there, which was missed by the NHS when they did a scan 5 months previously because it was suspected I had PCOS.

Definitely demand more from the gp. Having been on clomid, it is powerful and you do need to be monitored - you could pop out 10 eggs and they could all get fertilised and implant and then you'd be in a pickle!...and also putting your life in danger.

Also you would need to get your dosage correct. Plus, clomid may not actually be the right drug. Definitely best to go to the doc. I don't know what valid reason they would have not to help you. See a different gp!! good luck x

I really hope it goes ok as it can be very dangerous if you are taking the wrong dose or you produce too many eggs :(

Av already spoke to my doctor who is a fertility specialist and 50mg is the dose he would have recommended and am also booked in for a 21 day blood test x

Ok the blood test won't tell you how many follicles you have though. I do understand how desperate you can become so wish you all the best.

Hello, id like to join I also have two ds, have had a lot of problems getting problem with the second who is now 14 months. Never used contraception after having him. I also considered the online route and told my doctor this. She has given me 50 mg of clomide, ovulated the first and not the second two, she so far has refused to up my dose, I asked for maybe a scan before but was a Blunt no.. So I just have the 21 day blood test. She's said they won't let me have it after 6 cycles so in really disappointed as 2 have been a no go.. Booked in to see her next week so I really really hope she ups my dose. I've also found I've had no symptoms the two failed cycles with it like I did the first time baby dust to everyone

Suggest you Pay for a private refferal to a NHS gaene (BMI are pretty good) and have them write you a prescription instead. Friend did this yesterday and now has 6 months supply for approx £50 which is what she probably would have paid anyway.

You would be better taking soy isoflavanes , you can buy them in Tesco.

Andnow did you actually read this article. This bit in particular While there is some evidence that soy isoflavones may work in a similar manner to Clomid, there is also research that suggests that high levels of soy consumption can decrease fertility.

That is so dangerous. Clomid can have some seriously nasty and painful side effects if not monitored via ultrasound on a regular basis.

I cannot believe anyone is taking this after ordering it online. Ovarian hyperstimulation can be life threatening.

I was on this (or something very similar) during egg donation and I had to have an ultrasound scan every week to avoid OHSS.

You could seriously damage your reproductive system taking this unmonitored.

Please please do not do this without proper monitoring. It is strong and can be very very dangerous if you take it if you don't need it or even if you do need it and you take the wrong dose. It does not simply 'strengthen ovulation'.
