Hi,

The first appointment will be them doing all the talking! They'll want to know lots about you and your partner, how long you've been trying and so on. The person you'll see will be a consultant and whilst they know about IVF process, I found them to be a little - not heartless, just clinical. Very "you want a baby, you need IVF and I need to see you both to make sure you're suitable people".

Once you get through to the next stage and you meet the nurses, then it's better to ask them questions. They're dealing with us every single day, they know our fears and worries and they are excellent at explaining things in a clear friendly and honest way. I could have a laugh and a joke with these ladies, but the consultant, not so.

Is there anything you actually want to know about IVF right now? Give me a shout and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
