This evening I shall be starting Clomid. What to expect?

So after the tablets I was given to cause AF have failed to do just that, the consultant has told me to go ahead and start clomid. I'm going to take it before bed as I've read the side effects can be bad.
Anyone willing to share any experiences of side effects etc?

I used to take it. I hate clomid. It makes you so moody and messes with your hormones so bad. But after a month, during my second cycle i became pregnant. Today i am exactly 6 weeks preggo with my first. Best of luck to you. I dont understand why your doctor would start you on clomid before AF even showed up?

I don't know. The medproxyprogrestone I was given to start AF didn't work so he said to start the Clomid. I checked and triple checked that I had heard right. It has been 17 weeks since my last AF and a scan last week showed on lining build up

Ha! I had no side effects whatsoever until I got upduffed 12 days later. Know two others where it worked first time too. Good luck!

After the first run of 4 months I got pregnant the month I didn't bother. Hate taking it as it makes me VERY depressed and nauseous whilst taking the tablets, but this lifts after 6th day. On one month I had lots of pregnancy symptoms, so watch for that as it is quite a blow to find it's just the tablets. You should be scanned and blood tested, but my hospital were rubbish and just left me to it. Just started on it again for ttc #2, but not feeling too hopeful.

Someone else said to me about the pregnancy symptoms, although I do have PCOS so I'm sort of used to that!
We're also ttc#2. I didnt have an treatment for DD, she was something of a surprise. But I am aware that my PCOS has got worse since I fell pregnant with her.
Good luck to you

I didn't notice that many effects, although I could feel myself ovulating so a little bit of pain there but nothing serious. The second time I took it I bled mid cycle on and off for a few days and did not ovulate that month, but I did the first and third month, and I didn't take it a fourth time as I then found I was pregnant, and had my little girl, so it worked.

All in all it was not a difficult drug to take for me, and more than worth it for the end result
