Hi everyone,

I have one beautiful little girl. We started trying for our second baby a year and a half ago. I have since had one ectopic, one misscarriage and we thought we were third time lucky but unfortunately not - it's either another misscarriage or an ectopic again at six and half weeks...should no tomo. Im on waiting list for nhs gynaecology. I don't know whether to pay and go private for HSG or wait for appointment. I can imagine it's a long wait as won't have meeting with specialist till end if march and went on waiting list 4 months ago. Anyone else been in similar situation? Interested to hear stories. I'm based in South Wales x

I have used CRGW in llantrisant for private tests. I have found them to be very good and no waiting list. Their prices are relatively reasonable.

I had an ectopic last year (treated with methotrexate), and the NHS dragged their heels over referring me for a hsg. I got impatient and paid to have it privately. If I'd waited on my NHS hospital, it would have taken five months. I used BMI and from first phone call to the procedure took five days (was at the right point in my cycle, so that cut down the wait).

If you are having another EP, I'd be wary of having the hsg too quickly. I wanted to leave enough time for any internal damage to sort itself out.

Thanks everyone I have found this really helpful. I have been using CRGW for accupuncture, progesterone suppositories and HCG tests. Do they do the HSG there out of interest at the actual clinic? I had took a look at their price list but couldn't quite get my head around the different options? Will look at BMI also, thank you x

I think you go next door to royal glam for the actual procedure but it's all organised by crgw and you get the results through them. I've also had acupuncture there Smile

Just looked at the price list, it's £295 for the hsg which is the one where they use the dye to test your tubes.

Thanks lucieloos will speak to them to organise and go in for recurrent misscarriage appointment. Just found out my wait onthe has is July and was referred November. Is it Pauline you see? She is nice. Have you got lucky now? Just had hcg results and dropped by about 500 in two days so I think that looks more like a misscarriage then an ectopic misscarriage? Xx

No it was Jackie I used to see, she was also very nice. We have been ttc#1 for 14 cycles with no success. Blood tests have all come back ok although AMH is quite low. DH also has low motility. We have had most of our tests through CRGW so far as I'm 35 and feel that the nhs is too slow seeing as we don't have time on our side. We are looking to go out to the Czech Republic in the next couple of months for our first icsi. It's a lot cheaper out there and better success rates. Fingers crossed for you. I'm not too sure about your hcg levels but I'm sure crgw will sort you out.

Hi Lucie

Thanks for getting back to me - I have been in and out that clinic a thousand times in last three weeks lol so we may have crossed paths :) I really hope your cycle of icsi goes well. We have also been using foresight preconception company who claim to be able to help with sperm issues (they have done some research on supplements and sperm motility etc). Thought should let you know xxx
