Hi happilymarried, I've been given clomid to start on my next cycle and apparently ovulate ok. I get all the signs that I ovulate every month but my cycles are are usually between 29-35 days although I've had anything up to 40 days too. I'm due to start it in a couple of weeks and technically I'm in the 'unexplained' category so they thought they'd give me that for a bit, see how we get on
Hi, yes, I ovulate on my own and by all counts have no problems, all my tests come back normal (so far). I have been put on clomid to try stimulate more follicles to hopefully produce more targets for my husbands low sperm count. I was shocked to be given 100 mg!!!! seeing as i ovulate naturally, as a result, the second month on clomid i over produced and had 7 follicles and had to abandon that cycle, they have now thankfully dropped me to 50mg! from my own research it appears that clomid is freely handed out to anyone that hasnt concieved naturally after X amount of time regardless of what their own individual issue is, it is always the first step before any else.
Hi happilymarried, clomid is the next option for me apparently and I ovulate. I have had all the tests - bloods, scans, laparoscopy - and all looks fine but we have been trying for #2 for over a year with no joy. My cycles are regular but since we have been trying, I have developed this annoying spotting / light bleed that starts 5-6 before I'm due. Although all the hormone tests came back as fine, I can't help but think this isn't helping! My gynae suggested clomid to try and strengthen ovulation and am hoping to start in a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed for some success for you all.
