Double stim

Hi

I had a daughter last year through IVF. We want to try again but I've been told by our clinic that at nearly 45 we only have 1% chance of a successful pregnancy through IVF. Therefore we have been advised to go down the egg donor route. I'm not sure if I'm burying my head in the sand here, but although my AMH is lower than last time (3.6) my FSH levels are 8.3 and in a recent scan they saw 5 follicles, whereas two years ago they saw 6. I know I'm no expert but this still seems to be quite positive isn't it?

Although I'm not adverse to egg donorship, I would of course prefer to use my own eggs. I've heard that you can go through a double stim - i.e both you and teh donor have egg retrieval and at that stage you make a decision as to which path you want to go down. Has anyone done this and if so which clinic did you use - we're looking abroad at the moment.

Many thanks for your help
