I actually can't really see the big deal about this

Not something I would ever do and I suppose it's the fact it's a betting shop that would make it worse but is it really any different to leaving a baby outside in a pram (something else I have not done but would not bad an eye lid at)

We actually tied dd by the reins to the seat of a pleasure boat once as she was a total danger to herself, we were right beside her but at least I felt she was safe.

I have a toddler with dxd hyperactivity - I have to tie him into the shopping trolley with his reigns. For his own safety.

I wouldn't tie him up outside a shop though. Even though it might buy me some peace to buy the food shopping in.

And I guess it's the fact that it was a betting shop that makes this 'newsworthy'.

Not what I would do, tbh, and could she not have placed the bet online?!
