Please help need to clean my grill...how???

So my grill has never been cleaned, we've had the oven for 2 years and have just never used it. However I now have a couple of things that I would like to do and I will need to use it and am expecting lots of smoke and smells. So what your advice for getting it done (and any volunteers to do it for me)

Dh has used that to clean the oven before, might suggest he does it this weekend!
