Oh you poor thing. I usually put poop covered shoes in a shallow -tray, like an old tupperware box and let them stand in a mixture of hot water bleach and washing up liquid. Its a yucky job. They may have to be chucked.

For around the house, arm yourself with a nose peg, a strong gag reflex and plenty of cloths/kitchen roll/ and cleaner. I would use anti bacterial, like Detox or something.

If the shoes are trainers I'd use a little scrubbing brush, washing up liquid, hot water and rubber gloves. Throw brush away afterwards if you don't think it will happen again. Cocktail sticks for any tricky bits may help.

for carpet and floors. I'd get the mess up with baby wipes, then use a dishcloth barely damp and a antibac spray with rubber gloves again.

Poor you, thats horrid.

Old cloths are better than kitchen roll for the carpet cleaning. Use plenty of water after getting the worst out, sop up with old towels.

As to the trainers, I keep old toothbrushes for scrubbing mud and/or shit out of the bottom of trainers. Are these machine washable - if so, bung in on a gentle wash with some detergent (non-bio if they are leather!) and the cleaning cloths and towels (trainers alone tend to be too unbalanced and bumpy).
