Postman pat in the washing machine

It's not pretty. Mainly grey mush with a few plasticy bits. I think it must have been going a good hour - I just was too dozy to notice.

I have the culprit contained in his cot, cosy in his jimjams - oblivious of it all - fast asleep.

Break it to me - how badly will the machine be damaged. What on earth do I do?

I'm presuming t wasn't literally Postman Pat cos he's a strapping fella and not sure you'd even get the door closed never mind a spin cycle on the go...

So what was it? A figurine? A DVD?

A big thick board book.

Which is now grey porridge like

Ahhh I see, tbh I bet it will be ok. I'd try and clean the filter out and then run it empty on a really hot wash. Although that advice is based purely on my own experience.

I think you should call Fireman Sam to sort it all out

I reckon you'll be fine, my machine's still running on a tissue a week through the winter, reckon it doesn't take that many to add up to a board book.

One day I'll learn to check pockets and sleeves

Soda Crystals in the empty hot wash. Great for clearing gunk out of the machine.

I'll try that ACQ.

So far I've manually drained it twice, and cleaned the filter. The new water still looks battleship grey.. and the sound is a bit odd... Ds may be getting a new washing machine pump for christmas.

update: machine is still spinning with grey goo - after three 90 degree cycles manually drained and filters cleaned. But it's still fighting, at least.

sigh

who would have thought one cheery postman could spread so far.
