Morning all.

Madhouse - you poor things. Do think its that novovirus thing that got everyone last year?

I've been a bit distracted of late but after half term I'm going to resume flylady properly.

Have a good day everyone. Plan to look at a couple of pre-schools for DD2 today.

mad hope you have a better (ie less sick) day today.

Am pleased to report my lamb stew yesterday was fabulous (even MIL commented on it) Can recommend it (or pass it on as the book says!)

Odd day today. dd is at pre school this morning then MIL is going to look after this afternoon so I've got a full day to sort a whole load of stuff out.

Morning

Thanks for the thread Anne Hope you find the prefect pre-school for dd2.

Hi Jas, saga and all who follow

I don't seem to have slowed down yet this week! Too much going on.

Today I need to get dd some accessories ready to turn her into Sharpay from HSM for tomorrow's dress up day at school. We need bling! I think I'll drive to Sainsbury's and see what they have that's cheap and cheerful.

I also have some work to do and general clearing up. The house is returning to an acceptable state. There's a few piles of laundry I have been ignoring so I will be facing them at some point today.

Good morning ladies

I am feeling rotten this morning so not sure what my list for today will be yet. Possibly declutter another couple o drawers and basics to keep us going unless I suddenly feel better after I've had a shower shortly

Mad at your ds2 being poorly again. Is he any better this morning?

Bianca try Primark for cheapy accessories if you have one nearby, I get bangles from there all the time for £1-£2 (because I'm obsessed with bangles) & they do packs of hair scrunchy things for same price I think.

AoA & Jas & everyone else

Have a good day all, I'm off to shower and kick myself up the bum to get me going!!

Duh...there's me looking for a Friday thread....and its only Thursday!

Morning Ladies

Just a quickie this morning as we are off to toddler group soon.

My house is covered in craft stuff...DD1 and I spent most of yesterday making halloween decorations! She is back at school today though (so I'm left with the clear up!)

Report
Jas · 23/10/2008 09:22

lol Ludaloo

I got up at 6.30 to check dps cheque has cleared....it has so some of the more urgent bills are paid, and I can do a big shop and restock the cupboards and freezer. That may have to wait til tomorrow though, as it is parents evening for the dds today.

I have 1/2 hour before I leave for toddler group, so I('ve got the w/m on, and will tidy up the kitchen and mop before I go.

Back afterwards.

How did it go yesterday, GO?

I Thought it was thursday on Tuesday! At least this week seems to be going quicker than last week

Hello All

for TMH is it a different sickness bug? If there's been one in the house the DSs may be more prone to a new one. Just a thought

Why do OHs say 'I'll get up with DC and then not move?. I did as I was asked but at 20 past 7 I could take it no more and had to get up and get going. DH didn't leave the bedroom til 7:45 so, what was that all about? How is that helpful?

I still have a dw to empty and put away. I went to a breast cancer awareness coffee morning today then popped to Aldi for a few bits that they didn't have in (aggghhh).

To Do

Find Ed's wizard hat for the disco
General potterring
Collect Ed
Snack tea
Change him for the disc
Put my hour in for the PTA
Home, change
To Tesco for weekly shop

No swimming tonight due to disco and AF

Oh. I didn't get the job good feedback from the interview and I was a strong candidate tho so I suppose it's positive in it's own way.

Lucysmam no Primark nearby sadly. Got to Claire's though and found a few gems
Jas yay for cheque clearance! I got paid today - alomost double my usual wage due to the extras this week I need to be careful to save it for Xmas if we can.

I've been much longer at the shops than I planned and have only just got home. I have to go and help with cooking at school at 1 so just have time for lunch then I'll be out again.

MiL has just called to say she won't be able to have the kids this weekend as we had planned. Dh and I were planning some belated birthday celebrations so this is very disappointing

afternoon ladies

bianca what a disappointment, could mil rearrange for another weekend?
grouchy sorry to hear you didn't get the job
RR glad Dh is back safely and with lots of goodies for you
jas great news that cheque has cleared
luda hope the craft mess wasn't too bad
Lucys have you done something to your shoulder or has the pain just come on?
saga hope you are enjoying your day.
mad I can't believe that bug is still going round your house, poor you! I hope ds is feeling better soon
anne good luck with preschool "shopping"

So while sorting bottoms of wardrobes yesterday I found a bag of old photos still in frames and in there was a lovely photo of my gorgeous beloved tigger and piglet when they were kittens, so as flylady suggested I put it by my bed and this morning it really made me smile and even ds1 came in and said "hello Tigger and Piglet nice to see you again" It was happy and sad at the same time!
This morning have been into town to do a huge list of jobs, dh has now been paid but its going to be a tight month so am going to carry on using up food from fridge/freezer until Saturday then will do a 2 week shop but make sure I do a detailed list first and stick to it!
Right better go and get something done BBL

I am back!

Still feeling dodgy but have made tomato sauce for tea tonight, had a shower & sorted the pot mountain that was growing in the kitchen

tigger my shoulders have been sore for a while, probably due to the old knackered matress on our bed & having a heavy lump for a daughter.

I'm meant to be doing a 2 week shopping list too, but still haven't managed it! It's half way through, saved on Asda website, as it has been all week but really needs finishing today to send in the morning.

Am trying to convince oh that I need his help this evening so he can't go to footy as the lo needs a bath or shower & I'm struggling to lift a 6pint bottle of milk at the mo, never mind a 28lb toddler!

Bianca what are prices like in Claire's these days? Not been in there since I was a kid as I thought they were a bit extortionate tbh. Sorry your MIL is not having the kids this weekend. Could you have a nice meal and bottle of wine together in the house instead or get someone to sit with them while you head out for the evening?

Right, cuppa. Then, who knows!?!?!

ds1 is also wingeing because I won't let him wear his vest top and short

ds2 is crying because ds1 is near him!!

I am freezing cold

ds1 is now having paddy because ds2 has put his toothbrush down back of radiator

ds2 wants cornflakes
Everywhere looks a mess, i just want to cry

Tonight girls I am going late night shopping with a 20% off coupon for Oasis that I snipped out of Grazia mag How fabulous am I?

Actually Im going to Boots shopping night to try and get some 3 for 2 Xmas pressies (but I might just swing by Oasis ).

Hello all !
Well I was meant to be sorting out the house and admin and then going to the gym.

Instead straight after the school run I met a friend and went shopping, then had a coffee, then more shopping, then lunch (prezzo's ..v nice risotto and a glass of pinot grigio) and then more shopping... er then it was time to pick up the dc's .. and um...well

[slinks off]

I did get a rather fab ostrich feather duster....

Ummmm I have made J. Oliver burgers for tea tonight (I think I'm getting a bit obsessed with my new cook book)

Hope you enjoy Oasis tonight scatty

Hi,

GO Bad luck re: job interview...excellent feedback news though

Bianca oh never mind...you'll have to try and arrange another weekend?
You'll have to let me see a piccie of your ghost should you decide to make one

tigger oh poor you...I hope you feel better now. I have to say, your post was just like a small snippet of my life most days! Kids can be a bit much sometimes can't they.

scatty Ooooh well done re: the token.....I hope you have a good time!

saga oh I would SOOOOOO like to spend the day like you have today! Good on you

lucys hope you feel ok soon...nothing worse than feeling dodgy

Jas how did parents evening go? hope your cupboards are bulging now too

Well I tidied up the crafty stuff, then made more mess! I have got really carried away!

I made These and These and These and These!

I am soooo excited! Still loads on her website i'd love to make!

Well the kids are at youth club (the older two) so I shall go and get ready to pick them up and then I have Aqua fit.

Wow, Luda, you've been busy! We may do soem halloween crafts next week...
The ghost was just a ballon head with a sheet over, we tied the sheet under the balloon (ghost's neck) and then suspended somewhere so it looked as though it was flosting - iykwim? It lookde pretty cool

Dd has not liked my choice of HSM outfit at all The extras were OK (bangles, necklace) but the clothes were a disaster, she sobbed when she saw herself in them Thankfully we've created another look from her other clothes so we should get away with it!

We have cakes in the oven for a school cake sale tomorrow, once they're cooked we're off to bed - all three of us I expect..dh is working late and I am shattered.

Did get up briefly to take and collect DS1 from preschool

Think it could be Noro - Although whole house has been disinfected twice now.

DH brought a copy of walle home and the boys have had fun watching
