Please allow me to be smug!

I got up at 5.45 to hang out my washing.

Reason, I am at work today and wanted to take advantage of good weather to dry clothes.

After doing that, I had my breakfast, showered, got the DTS up, got them ready and they were in nursery by 7.40 am.

I do feel very please with myself[smug emotico]

I'm going for a cappucino soon in my lunch break! That should keep me awake

Well done

I am though that you could get all that done. Ds still wakes up at 5.30am most days so I am up then anyway - Just can't get as much done as it is always so much easier when they are asleep.

Lazycow, when DTS were about 8 weeks old, I was up at 6am, fed and changed them, did the washing, hung it out, cooked the mince for cottage pie, vacuumed the living room and then sat down at 9am wondering what to do next

Then the DTS starting screaming for their milk!

Oh SM - now that really is smug

I can count on one hand the times I've had to wake ds in the morning. Maybe at 8 weeks he slept until 7/8am if I was really lucky.

I do rememeber though that one golden morning when I actually was late for work. as DS slept until 8.45am. I was so shocked that I just couldn't bring myself to wake him so I called the CM and work and said I'd be late. I waited for him to wake up and ended up dropping him at 9.30am and getting to work at 10.15am - an hour late. It has never happened again though - just as well if I want to keep my job

I didn't do any work at home while waiting for him to wake up though - I decided I was going to use the time to read a novel!!

I used to get up at 6 to express when dd was tiny. She used to sleep through the night [nostalgic emoticon]
Not a chance with this one.
