Please advise - I think that is cheap chocolate dried into my new light-coloured wool carpet

I think a bit of chocolate from a choc ice (food is forbidden from the lounge for just this reason) has been mashed into my light grey wool carpet. It's obviously been there for a day or two...

Before I start messing about with it, and make it worse, can anyone advise the best way to go about getting rid of it?
