We have a Henry and a Dyson at the mo. The Dyson is good on our deep pile carpets but crap on everything else. Henry is ok at the other stuff, low pile carpet on stairs and hard floors in other rooms but 'he' isn't very durable. I know that builders swear by Henry and all that but the brushes on the standard head are wearing down at a rate of knots leaving the metal parts to scrape on the floor, not great. I'm replacing the heads every 4ish months which seems madness to me.
Is there a cylinder hoover / vac with good suction, a long cable, good length, durable hose (not like the stupid Dyson one that splits as soon as you try to use it) and a durable brush head that won't wear down when used on flagstones (interior) ? Or at least won't wear down as quickly?
Am I searching for the holy grail?
