foundation on white jeans

Help me! I have spent ages finding a nice pair of 3/4 white jeans and I managed to drop a huge great blob of foundation on them last night.
I have, so far - rinsed with washing up liquid and cool water that didn't lift much, I then treated with Vanish gold spot treatment and washed.
that didn't work.
I've now treated with washing soda crystals, washed again and it still hasn't come out.

Does bleach make a hole, is there a dilution rate that wont destroy the fabric but get the mark out?
thank you in advance

Bleach should be ok provided they are white jeans not ivory etc. dab some on with a cotton bud, work from the outside in and put a white cloth or wad of kitchen towel underneath.

Your first port of call should have been make up remover but I think it's gone past that stage now and you need to bring out the big guns ie bleach.

Have you tried a really long soak?

DD got foundation all over my v v pale blue bedding a couple of weeks ago so I feel your pain. I couldn't believe how machine washing didn't seem to touch it, but after a 24h soak in a strong solution of bio, and biotex, it came out fine in the wash.

My worry with bleach is it might whiten the stain but not remove the grease, so you'll be left with a yellow/white grease spot, or that the bleach just won't get through the greasy emulsion to break down the pigment. Try bio and time first. You can always try bleach as a last resort but try a 24 h soak first.

If other things don't work, I would soak the jeans in a solution of bleach rather than do a spot treatment with it in case it whitens just the previously stained area.

Try a grease & oil stain remover, soak in Biotex & then wash in bio powder or liquid.

I found rubbing fairy liquid into it got rid and no stain left Smile
