Bugger hit post too soon!
Basically what do you do for spring clean. I'm decluttering but haven't done anymore than normal cleaning.

How far do you go? I can't imagine washing walls but washing skirting boards I could manage!!

Some people DO wash walls.

A tip was do all of the wall otherwise you will be staring at a clean bit Grin

The only spring cleaning I have done so far is the huge bay window in the sitting room. It involves teetering on the step ladder -it's really scary-

I have had to rest since then Grin

I pull all furniture out and clean behind, wash skirting boards, doors, banisters, kitchen cupboards etc, climb up and dust/clean on top of high surfaces like on top of units and appliances. Lights also need cleaning - and ceilings hoovered from cobwebs etc. Radiators need cleaning, sofa cleaning, shampoo carpets etc

The list goes on but basically I just pick a room and clean it from top to bottom.

I start with being realistic about how much time I have.

I had a good few hours free yesterday and did the children's bedrooms - rearranged a room in fact. Found some old books and toys and a hell of a lot of dust.
I have yet to sort through Spring clothes..need another hour for that at least.

Oh yes I certainly don't do it all in one go! I do one room at a time and sometimes that maybe done in one day, other times it may take a week to complete - just whatever the time allows.

Yes, I did the living room recently, so I as well as washing the walls and pulling out the furniture, I also washed the curtains and sofa cover and the lamp shade. Istill haven't cleaned the windows though.

This confirms what I thought. I am a lazy slattern:(

Oh well I shall make a list of jobs and tick them off slowly ( probably VERY slowly!!)
