Fast Wash Cycles?

CagneyNLacey · 02/12/2012 11:50

I have just discovered, after 8 years, that my washing machine has a fast wash cycle that is only 30 minutes- am made up as we have so much washing and my normal wash at 40 takes an hour and a half, 60 takes 2 hours and 95 takes two and a half.

I am beyond sick of the machine being on all weekend, so what can i put on a fast wash? It has two- 30 for 30 mins and 60 for an hour.

Apologies for dullness!

I use my fast wash for clothes that are not really dirty but need washing and for delicates.

I put everything on fast wash! (Apart from delicates which have their own setting) You can change the temperature on mine - I do about half at 30 which takes 50 mins, and stuff like underwear or stuff that is dirtier at 40 for 56 mins. Works just fine!

It will use more electric and water per cycle though.

Mine does some fast cycles but all are for reduced load and it won't do the fastest spin so they'll come out wetter and will take longer to dry.

Yeah the small load i did seemed wetter but an 8 minute spin sorted it out, that's the first time I've used the spin cycle too. It's all new to me Blush

Yes, that's what we'll do, an extra spin.

My quick wash is a bit too quick for my liking. Doesn't seem to get things that clean. I only really use it if I am stuck or if something just needs a freshen up - like the baby clothes I was given that I just wanted to freshen up but they weren't actually dirty.
