we are in wandsworth, right on the edge of Merton. We have met quite a few he'ers in merton. You could join the Southwest London/Surrey borders yahoo group, as quite a few people are from Merton on there. There's a group that swims in Kingston once a week with some older children as well as little ones - details on the yahoo group. I don't know much about groups for older children in Merton, but you culd ask on the yahoo group.

We're not HEders yet, but we're planning on getting DS de-reg'd very soon. We're in Mitcham and DS is 7, ASD and currently at a local state school.

We're in Croydon so not too far. I have 2 boys, 12 and 8. Why won't your ds go, if you don't mind me asking?

Good to know there's quite a few of us in this area.

bigdonna, you're welcome to CAT me if you want to have chat. Obviously, I'm just at the same stage as you so not in a position to advise or anything, but we could support each other!?

Is your DS at HA high school? That's the one that DS would be going to if we continue with school, although he's got another 4 years of primary to get through first. Are the school being helpful or have you hit a brick wall? Don't answer on here if you're concerned about anonymity or don't want to.

No worries bd . Funnily enough I went to both St Marks and Cranmer, although SM was a primary school back then and C was a middle school. DS was supposed to go to C but then we moved to the other side of Mitcham and we changed him to a more local school.

We're handing in the de-reg request tomorrow, as DS is adamant that he doesn't want to go back, he's really distressed and I can't bear to send him like that. If you ever change your mind the offer is always there.

Good luck with sorting out a new school for your DS. I'll look out for you around MN to see how you're doing.

Kaytee, I'll email you. Thanks for the offer.
