Hi. I am home educating my 7year old daughter who would be year 3. I also have a 2yr old. Although they get along brilliantly....my eldest is desperate for some kids to mix with either her age or older as she seems so much older in her ways. Can anyone offer a group or activity....can travel as far as st.albans..Milton Keynes ...Bedford.e are members of whipsnade zoo and English heritage if any meets there?! With grateful thanks !!!!!

You could try Learning Begins in Wonder on Facebook, also Home Education Hertfordshire (Yahoo group and FB). There is loads going on in and around Hitchin and Letchworth with local groups on FB.

I'm vaguely aware of some Milton Keynes stuff. There is a very handy group called "Free Range Education" on which people organise outings which you can sign up to. Their webpage seems to be down but you can join the Facebook group.

Also HE-MK (Home Education Milton Keynes) www.he-mk.org.uk/

Bedfordshire: www.bedhed.org.uk/

St Albans: www.facebook.com/groups/1500144486906625/

Theres homeschool ballet at wrest park, contact vacani ballet. Gym groups in mk contact mk gym. If your okay with a weekly organised group like sport art or drama there the place programme in bedford. //Www.place-programme.com

At any of these you would meet more parents and more groups formal and informal.
Learning in wonder is great too. There some activities in Luton also.

I live in the region and home ed i usually go to many activities over the week and commit termly, some terms i chose to be busier then other.
This term we want to travel and be outdoors so groups are taking a back seat, saying that theres still park meet ups and swimming afternoons and trips throughout the summer term.
