I have a 2 year old DS and obviously he wouldn't be starting school for a while yet. I'm already considering home schooling though but I'm worried about the social aspects.
Does anyone know if any home school groups exist in the Newcastle/North Tyneside area? I've tried looking online but not coming up with much!

Hi!

A quick search has thrown up this FB group with almost 300 members:

www.facebook.com/groups/EducationAtHomeTyneandWear/?ref=ts&fref=ts

And there is also a Tyne and Wear Yahoo group which appears quite active too.

It would be lovely to start going to some of the social meets/play sessions...you'll soon realise that there is as much socail opportunity as you and DS want/need.

I'm in this area but no longer HEing as my son is in college now. I recommend the Tyne and Wear FB group and agree there is a lot happening in the area. Definitely worth joining and starting to network with other home educators locally. You'd be very welcome to join in with a two year old to check things out.
