Not a homeschooler, but wondered if I could pick your brains please. DS1 starts secondary in September - great, well rounded state school, but no classics. DH and I went to similar schools, and both wish that we had at least an opportunity to learn Latin (purely as an academic exercise).

I'm wondering whether to look at an online course for all three of us!

The Cambridge course is the first that comes up on Google. Has anyone used it?

Haven't tried anything beyond 'Minimus' but families I know who do are enjoying the Cambridge course.

DS (13) started Cambridge Latin in May. He really likes it. There's a website as well with extra exercises.

There is decent online support out there for Latin. Where in the UK are you (PM me if you like - am a Latin/Classics teacher in secondary state school.) If your DC is primary age Google Minimus and see if anyone locally is offering it, or contact your local expert. If secondary try searching for the Cambridge Schools Classics Project. You can do the Cambridge Latin Course online with or without an online tutor.

Seriously, message me if you want more details! I love helping new students get into Latin Grin
