Nursery Chair

I'm looking to get a chair to put in my baby's bedroom for feeding and settling to sleep etc. I have narrowed it down to two options and I don't know which would be more useful. It's either a rocking chair from Kiddicare which seems like the 'traditional' choice and may help to settle the baby. Or, I'm also considering a single futon chair from the futon company - I don't know if this would be as comfortable to sit on but it would give us the option of sleeping in the baby's room if it was necessary.

These are the two options. There's a big difference in price but I don't mind that.

I have a glider chair which is fab. I've slept in it a few times (with and without the baby) as it reclines quite far back. Very comfortable, and comes with a gliding footstool too. An amazing purchase considering how many hours I spent in it breastfeeding!!! Luckily those days are gone but it's still good for reading a bedtime story and giving milk.

If you have the space I'd get a glider chair. I once spent an hour in one in the baby room in Peter Jones. Bliss! We didn't have the space do couldn't get one boo.

A glider definitely. Mine is a dutalier from Kiddicare 16 yrs ago. Its very cushioned and extremely comfortable. I nearly got rid of it a couple of years ago as we don't need it now but DD1 asked if we could keep it for her when she has children (not for a good few years hopefully) so it's in the living room now and everyone loves sitting in it. Get a footstool glider too if you have the space. They rock with very little effort and are wonderful for soothing babies (and parents) off to sleep.
