All white bedroom

Hi,

Has anyone got an all white bedroom? I am planning on white laminate in the bedroom and ikea PAX wardrobes. I was thinking of getting the rest of my furniture in white. I have this vision of this cool, calm, uncluttered space (I crave it with 2 smallies) but I wonder would it feel excessively bland.

Any thoughts welcomed!

I have just decorated my bedroom off-White (Dulux timeless) with white ceiling and gloss and pale pine furniture (we already had the furniture) and pale biscuit carpet. Off white curtains. I did it for exactly the reasons as you. I love it! Very calm in a house of small DC-craziness. It is livened up slightly by coloured bed linen - but patterns based on white background. (Red/White ticking stripe; pale blue/beige/white checks).

Thanks Bikerunski. I'll check out that paint colour. I need a quiet space in every sense, away from colour and toys and noise. I am aware the reality will probably be a little different ;-)

Our spare room is all white. Well, the carpet is a pale cream. The walls, coving and ceiling are plain white as is the woodwork. Built in white wardrobes and a huge white framed bed with matching side tables and large dressing table from IKEA. The curtains are white with a pale lavender rose pattern and I have two sets of white waffle textured bedding. The pillows are white and different textured. Have a few plants in there which give a little colour and some artwork in natural tones.
It's a lovely calm room.

We have this but with blue curtains. We have all white bedding, white Pax wardrobes and other IKEA furniture and pale beige carpet. I love it and it feels really peaceful. If might be worth bearing in mind which way the room faces though. It may feel a little cold if it faces north and you might want a slightly warm white on the walls.

Our last bedroom was pretty much all white. I loved it - the first night I slept in there was one of the best night's sleep I'd had in years. It was quite a small room and we used to call it our 'sleeping pod'.

I'm convinced. Only thing to decide if we go for a splash of colour here and there. Maybe a restful colour like moss green ...........

Moss green sounds nice. In our all-white bedroom I now remember we had a fabric headboard which was moss green with some brown bits (sounds gross, in fact was very nice!).

I had an all white room in a previous house and it was gorgeous. White laminate floor, white walls and curtains, bedding etc. However even though I had blackout blinds plus blackout curtains, it was really bright in the mornings! I'd still do it again though.

Our bedroom is mostly white. White walls, white doors, white wardrobes.
Our bed is oak, we have neutral coloured carpet and pale grey bed linen like this one www.tesco.com/direct/geometric-printed-pintuck-duvet-set/222-9583.prd?pageLevel=&showRvSkuImage=true&rvSku=443-7274&selectedVariantValue=Grey

We have a white bedroom with oak furniture and dark parquet floorboards. I wanted all white wardrobes but DH overruled and got oak to match our pre-existing bed and tall boy. It's lovely when it's tidy and incredibly restful.

It's very easy to make an all white room interesting with different shades of white (our roman blind is a brilliant clean white, our sheepskin rug isn't for example), and, probably more importantly, different textures.

Our whole flat is painted white. It's easy to retouch when needed and we add color with furniture and other accessories. Makes it easier to have a seem less look throughout.
