We are redoing our kitchen/dining room, completely from scratch. It's about 3.5x6 meters so needs to be bright. I have just bought a burgundy range and have a few red accessories (Kettle, a few utensils, scales) that I would like to keep. Other than this I have a blank canvas. I have no idea where to start.
I like grey cabinets and really like those Moroccan tiles that are in at the moment. The table can be painted. It's a 30s house so I don't want anything massively modern. I've searched pintrest but I just can't decide. Please help.

Grey or cream or powder blue? Find a Moroccan tile with your red in it and see what other colours it has in it.

Agree that might be good to take a colour from something else - a soft green would also go nicely - I have creamy coloured units and burgundy tiles - we have a blind that has deep pinky colour and soft green checks so we picked the green from that for the walls. and we have deep pink (like a faded red denim) curtains at the patio doors in the dining room. Reading back that sounds a bit awful, but it is actually nice - honest ;)

Hiya

I think a neutral unit colour such as grey, cream, ivory - or dare I say - 'GRIEGE' will make a great base for your purple range and can be easily updated with colourful accessories. Was thinking something like this?

Maybe I'm way off but would definitely work with warm reds and deep burgundies.

Also, just thought I'd share these tiles!
