Accessoring a black kitchen

We think we've found THE house Grin only thing is it has a brand new black high gloss kitchen with oak work top.

With it being new dh won't entertain replacing it if we go with the house it has one row of black tiles as well.

The room is large oak floors white walls two windows so plenty of light.

I just can't imagine how to add colour / accessories without them being reds lime green.

I love more a natural pallet.

I read the title as accessorising a black kitten. Was momentarily outraged. No help re: kitchen I'm afraid.. Though, if it were me I'd maybe go for neutral duck egg type of shades.

Natural greens (herbs, flowers etc) going sensationally well with black and oak kitchens. Also you could add some more light wood features (chopping boards) or light stones (pestle and mortar) to just lighten it up and maintain the natural looks.

Found some ideas on pinterest too www.pinterest.com/worktopsco/black-vs-white-kitchen-designs/

Yes I would go with an oaky wood colour or light stone effect/chrome type things?

We have that combination in previous house wonders if it's same house and went with neutrals - creams / taupe / different textures rather than too much colour.

If it has a bright red splash back then yes it's the same house Grin Grin

I'm liking the idea of duck egg colour and more natural things I think possibly painting the walls a soft cream will soften it all up

Glass and stainless steel accessories will help bring more light into your kitchen and avoid creating drab, void of life interior design. :)

Didn't one of the contestants spray paint a black glossy kitchen White on 'the great interior design challenge' TV show ... it might be available on BBC iplayer ? I can remember thinking it looked so different ( and much better )

Could you replace the splashback with something gentler?
