Kitchen pendant lights over island advice

Hi
We're renovating our kitchen with a peninsula / island.
I want to put the classic 3 pendant lights hanging over it, however there is a large new metal steel beam directly above it.

What I was thinking is have the light start behind the beam them loop under and dangle from a hook secured beneath it / directly over the island.

Has anyone come across something similar,, nice looking pendant lights?

Thanks

I like these ones from Super Living www.superliving.dk/products/pendant.html - they have a UK supplier too.

I'm doing the same thing when our new kitchen is installed next month. We don't have a beam there but am also looking for light recommendations. Thanks for posting!

I think you could do that sort of thing with most pendant lights. The lovely ones Cross posted would be perfect: you could fix the chains to the beam, but have the cables "swagged" from the ceiling rose a little distance away. There will be more electrical cable than in your average installation, so make sure you get stuff that you don't mind looking at. Check out nordlux funk for pendant lights where the cable is a feature in its own right.

I have these Nordlux Ripasso lights over my peninsular. The Wayfair website has lots of good ones.
