Hi there. My DD is auditioning for the BA in dance here at the weekend. Has anyone's DS or DD applied here or done the audition? Would love to chat about it. We are travelling from abroad for the day. I think I am more nervous than she is!

I don't have any direct experience of auditioning there but you might find someone with this experience, or know someone who knows someone on the uk forum for ballet www.balletcoforum.com/index.php?/forum/9-doing-dance/
As the title suggests it is mostly about ballet, but some ballet dancers do end up on the contemporary route.
Good luck, I hope it goes well.

Hope you found some help there - I'm one of the moderators :-)

My son's a professional ballet dancer (well, until recently - that's another story) so I know how hard it all is!

My dd is a bit young yet to think of colleges & still in lower school but an ex colleague of dh's who used to also teach dd in lower school now works there.

It's a very good school.

Very late coming back to this and thank you for the replies. DD has been offered a place on the foundation course in NSCD and also a place on a BA in Dance course in a school in the Netherlands. I think she will take the place in Leeds as we have heard such good things about it and it will help prepare her to take more auditions for a BA next year.

Well Done to your DD, flipflop. I know nothing about dance, but Leeds is a fabulous city and I hope she will be very happy there.
