Well DD2 has finishes uni this week.she has an essay to hand in tommorow and that's it. We went to see her in her end of final year play last weekend. She's hoping to stay up in Kingston so she has left home for good. Feel sad she's not coming home bur glad she is making a life for herself and has grown up. Where have the last 3 years gone.

Aw. Congratulate yourself on a job well done.. an independent adult off into the world!!

.... then open a bottle of wine, get sentimental and sob a little Grin

Does she have a job sorted? What degree did she do? I have one in her 2nd year (but 5 year degree plus two more junior doc years so long way to go yet) and one off in September and I still FEEL like they are aged 10 and 8, not 20 and 18!!

I second Medusa - congratulations on raising an independent adult!

DD1 would have been finishing this year but she changed to a 4 year course. She is returning soon from a year studying in America where she has had a great time.

DD2 is just finishing her first year at university and had her last first exam today. She's staying for a bit of partying before coming home for the summer.

Congratulations.

My DD handed in her disertation before Easter, but her final exam in on B/Hol Tuesday! (She had one today as well). She starts her new job before her graduation at the end of June so a busy time ahead as she is also planning her wedding :)

DS is currently looking at which Uni course to apply for........

Thanks all. She did a Drama degree. She has got temporary job working in a cafe in a National Trust house but that finishes in November as the house shuts for winter. She wants eventually to get into acting but is being sensible and looking for other jobs in the mean time. She is playing puc in Midsummers Night Dream in The International Youth Festival in the summer and will get paid a small amount. She's looking for another house to share with 2 of her friends as the one they are in is a 5 bed and they only need a 3 bed. I feel a bit worried that she will run out of money and won't be able to find a house. I just have to remember she's grown up now and let her get on with her life herself.
