BF and work. How happy have your babies been with ebm and water?

I know lots of people combine working and breast feeding.

If your baby does not take a bottle then do they just stay upset until you pick them up?

My baby does not take a bottle (yet) or a cup. She screams at the bottle. Cup contents just end up on the bib.

She is a very content baby. I can't bear the thought of her being hungry and miserable in the day times because she can't have the boob.

Someone said to me babies will wait all day with nothing for their mums boob. But wouldn't that mean they would be miserable all day?

every baby is different but in our case:

dd took bottle first time it was offered to her.

her big brother refused it completly for a week! the following combination worked for us:
dh gives bottle...you stay in a different room (baby will smell your milk)
put her in car seat...she will nuzzle up to dh chest looking for boob-milk
dont offer bottle when she is starving or tired...do it about an hour after nap and feed.
do it when she is happy and not upset for any reason
dont force her...just take your time and offer her a bottle a few times avery day.
dh make lots of happy mmmmmh delicious sounds

what age is she? this advice might work better with a beaker. although we find dd(8mth) will drink a small bit from beaker-novelty factor i think-but wants bottle if hungry/thirsty.
