How difficult it is to return to work in STEM subjects after a career break? I did it after 10 years at home with my children and you wonder where all your confidence has gone. The Daphne Jackson trust helped me with a part-time fellowship, they just want to help you get back into STEM work. We have an opportunity at Manchester University for somebody who has had at least 2 years of career break. and the DJ trust has opportunities elsewhere. Take a look at the links below. I would love to hear your thoughts on the difficulties of returning to work after a career break either on this thread or send me an email ([email protected])

This is such a great opportunity. I'm so tempted, but live in Leeds, Manchester is probably too far of a trek. Will have a read through though.

There are also some fellowships in Sheffield and you should contact the Daphne Jackson trust as they may be able to find a sponsor in Leeds. The Manchester job is half time but you can do 3 days then 2 days or work more in term time and have school holidays, still it is almost an hour by train. Good luck anyway.
