Applied for the job as a HCA in the Child Assessment unit at the local hospital. Ad said 20 hours per week, mon-fri.

Turns out it's Mondays and Fridays roughly 9-3 and they said they realalise that leaves 8 hours left over and that between us we could work those out.
Erm well how, thats equal to over another days work but apparently they wouldn't really need anyone on tues, wed, thurs so i get the feeling it could be odd hours here and there.

The plus points were that they sounded quite felxible on start and finnish times but thats the only plus point i can think of.

The ad also said the applicant must be willing to undertake NVQ 2&3 in Care which was one of the things that attracted me to the job. My mum works at the hospital and told me that there is no funding for NVQ 3 at the mo so i deliberatly mentioned how I was attracted to the training and they didn't say a word.

They are supposed to be ringing me between 3.30 and 4.30 to let me know, but tbh if they offer it me I don't know what to say now.

If they offer you the job, I'd make sure the training was the contract, you could accept it and see how it goes.....

My mum said if they offer it just acept it and then worry about it after, she obviously doesn't know me very well.

Why is nothing ever straight forward.
