Maternity Pay in the NHS

Hi everyone - I'm not sure where on MN to ask this question but I thought I'd try in this forum Smile

Are there any women on here who work for the NHS (in a nursing capacity if that makes any difference) who can advise me on Maternity Pay?

I know we are entitled to full pay for 8 weeks and it then get deducted to half pay, but how much statutory maternity pay do we get? Is it based on our personal wage or is it a generic amount?

I'm just trying to plan ahead as to what our options might be once the baby arrives....

Generic amount. About £600 per month.
If you take 12 months off the last 3 are without pay.

You can print of your hospitals policy. Should be on the intranet. It's very clear in that document.
