IT Test for Administrator

I had the interview yesterday with a panel of 4 and answered 16 questions fairy well once I got past the initial nerves and was advised they would let me know next week.

She called me today so say she needed to take the interview process further as me and one candidate are neck in neck and she cannot decide between us, so I have an IT test next week and a decision will be based on that and references.

My references should be very good, I had a fantastic working relationship with my last line manager and the one previous to her so that should be okay and it is really out of my control.

I have today at home, made a mail merge (word) made a lovely little chart (excel) used autosum, created labels (access)

Is there anything else you can think I may need to 'brush up on' pre-test? Or anything else I can do to show them they need to PICK MEEEEEEE. Blush

Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I will do some more work with excel, create a macro and more formatting in excel, my word skills are pretty good, I need to brush up more on my excel possibly.

Thanks a lot, I need to check my work more I think, not fairy well fairLy well.

I wish they could have just made a decision!!

Also Microsoft outlook (email), perhaps creating a signature or organising a meeting using the calendar.

Oh yes the calendar too I will have a little play around with that.

I'm fairly good with letter writing I had to do a lot of that in my last work, mail merge, formatting, header, footers, centre, bold, underline, oh I need to do a macro again.

I think it may be out of my hands, if I don't get I will apply for more

I have a thick question if anyone see this.

Does every Word use DVS for Macros or is it just word2013?

I think I played around making various macros for 2 hours yesterday, I love macros geek

That's a bit sad on a Saturday night. Hmm

Everything is so easy in Word 2013 I'm now worried the 2008/2010 version will trick me up, gah it will go on the references no doubt and it's no a big deal at all anyway, I will be upset for 24 hours or a week then I might find more good jobs.

To begin with I was shaking and hitting the wrong keys as I'm so used to my laptop now but got over that, managed the 2nd part but the first past was listing wages net and gross and I have never done payroll. Confused

I typed the majority of the spreadsheet out saved it knew there was no way I could do it so saved all my work and smiled and left. She sent an email a few hours later saying I hadn't got it but I knew when I left I hadn't.

I think there was a bit too much on Financial side for me tbh

Tbh if it wasn't in a test setting I would have found how to do it no problem and I know now (infuriatingly) what I should have done, but it's too little too late.

I had brain freeze.
