Sources of Funding for G&T DS

Our DS1 has been on the G&T list for last one year. Recently the local Prep School (Staines Preparatory) offered him a bursary for 50% tuition fees. Which means over GBP 1200 and we will have to match the amount. Is there any other source of funding we could search to meet all or a chunk of this amount of 1200 pounds. Will the LEA help? Is there any other way I could get some money as the boy is bright and deserves the best education. Please help.

Thanks

Hi, sorry to butt in without being able to offer any advice, but can I ask how old your ds is? I have dd 3.7 who can already read every word in nat lit strategy for Rec, Year 1 and 2 (thats about 250 words I think) even when they're all jumbled up, and knows loads more. She does jigsaws age 6-8 (80 pieces). She struggles to get on with kids at preschool. She makes up stories involving fights with pirates. I would love to send her to Prep School but no chance I could afford it either; 50% bursary would surely help though. Can they get on G&T list (sounds like their favourite tipple!) before they even start school? How was your ds assessed, etc.?
