Weird dimple on my forehead

OK - this is a bit weird, but I was wondering if there was anyone out there who could say, "Yeah, I have had something like this, and it was nothing...."

About 3-5 months ago (didn't make a note of when it was)a dimple appeared on my forehead. It is quite a deep one, and if I touch it it really hurts for 5-10 seconds afterwards - a quite intense burning feeling. It also feels like there is a little patch of my forehead (under the dimple) which has no flesh there - in contrast to the rest of my forehead, which is a bit padded. Does that make any sense?

Has anyone heard of anything like this? It is really strange, because I have pottered along for months not thinking about it, and as soon as my dp and mother make me make an appointment to see the Dr I start to worry constantly. And of course the Dr can't see me for several days... sigh.

I don't know if it's similar but I have always had what is essentially a vertical indent from my hairline down between my eyebrows. Like you, it feels like there is no flesh underneath and is quite sensitive to touch. My mother actually noticed it for the first time only last year and seemed rather alarmed that my skull didn't appear to join!. As I have had it forever though without any apparent problems, I've never worried about it.
