Kids sick almost every week

Ok, i know it is normal for kids to get sick - especially the first year at school or nursery they pick up every bug going around. But I don't think we've had more than a week since before christmas where both my children (DS 22 mths, DD 4 yrs) have been healthy. And it's never "just" a cold - there's always a fever or conjunctivitis or an ear infection, or in one case a tummy bug (that was fun).

Has anyone else been going through this? Aside from worrying about my kid's physical health I'm beginning to fear for my own mental health - even when they're well now I spend half my time feeling their forheads to see if they're warm, I'm afraid to make dinner plans or playdates because there's a 50/50 chance we'll have to cancel. Not to mention the fact that of course they don't sleep well when they're sick.

We've been to the doctor a few times - sometimes we get a diagnosis, sometimes not. But nobody seems to think there's anything wierd about how often they've been sick. Is this normal?

Hi, I can fully sympathise with kids always being poorly, it makes you feel cr*p and the kids feeling worse

I have just started dc1 and dc3 on echinacea drops to try to boost their immune systems , thought dc2 would be o.k but now she's developed a mouth ulcer so will be giving it to her too!!
(thanks to other mumsnetters for that advice.. still giving it time to work as both now have colds!!)

Hopefully once the warm weather arrives your kids will pick up

sending you cyber hugs
