Concerned about blue hands and feet

My son is 8 yrs old and attends a special school for his learning disabilities. We are seeing a genetic specialist who expressed concern over his blue hands and feet. He has always had these but they seem to be getting worse. Today his teacher has wrote me a letter concerned about this as she said he wasnt cold. I am now worrying what it could be and whether it is serious Should I ring my GP? does it indicate anything specific?

My dd has been having a similar prob since having a cold about a month ago. She goes freezing cold and her lips go blue, and the rest of her body goes very pale/grey.

She is already under the paed for being lethargic all the time and we are going back at the end of may although the g.p wants to try and get us in sooner.

The g.p said it could indicate a heart prob but she listened to dd's heart and said she coulodn't detect any probs.

I would say it is worth mentioning to g.p yes.
Hope you get it sorted soon xxx
