Sorry to be personal but I am 37 and have just had my period. It lasted about a week but I have just started to bleed again 2 days on. Is this my age or should I be worrying?

Any changes to your life recently? Are you stressed? If you can't think of anything 'different' that might have triggered this, why not phone NHS direct and see what they say

travelling can also bring this on, have you been travelling recently?

I had this for a while, travelling would make me stop and start like a yoyo and if I got upset after it had just stopped it would start again for a few days, it still does it sometimes!

This does happen sometimes to many women. Me included. It can be anything from stress, hormaones, missing a couple of contraceptives pills. If it keeps happening see your dr, but for now I wouldn't worry.

Thanks for your advice. Nothing has changed in my life - no upset, no stress, no travelling. I will just keep my eye on it.

Hi woolyboots.

I had this (when I was 37 too funnily enough). I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and my hormones are often all over the place - even so this was unusual for me. I do find though that if my weight increases by too much I get it again - something to do with fat and oestrogen I believe. I don't know your weight and am not assuming that you're overweight like me but just trying to say (in a very longwinded way) that lots of things affect this and it's probably nothing to worry about.
