Period problems...........every 3/4 months.......help

Wonder if anyone can help. Before I had ds my periods were always very erratic, usually every 10/12 weeks. Since I had ds 3 years ago, they have got even worse, my last period was back in October and I am still waiting for the next one. When I am 'on' it usually only lasts for 3/4 days. I have been to the doctor about it, and was told that it is nothing to worry about. I am unable to take the pill.

To be honest since my last period last year I have stopped taking my AD's, so wonder if this could be a factor. Just wondered if anyone else out there had experienced anything similar or offer any suggestions.

Dh has had the snip 2 years ago and got the all clear, so can't be pregnant.

It can be a real pain only having 3/4 periods a year, but then I think of all the money I saw on Sanitary protection.

Don't you hate it when nobody replies to your thread...?

Why is it a problem for you, breeze? if you are only ovulating 3-4 times a year that has health benefits (I believe). You'll have lower risks of various female cancers, for instance.

Thank-you zebra, I had given this one up for dead.

I was told by someone (who I should no better than to listen to), that because my periods are irregular I have a hormone problem, and that I do not have enough XX in my system and that is used to fight XX. Maybe a quick chat to the doctor about this is in order.

Anyway I have just come on now since October, its not too bad, so the time delay doesn't bother me in the slightest. I just find in hard to believe that after one accident with DH I became pregnant. With my ovulation rate, what are the chances. Mother nature working her magic.

Hiya breeze, could it be a hormonal imbalance? I think a deficiency in oestrogen might cause these problems.

My cousin says she has oestrogen defiency; it gives her hot flashes & dry skin... I would love to have your problem, Breeze.
