My dd is 17 mths and I more or less have my figure back, i weigh a few ponds less but my shape is slighty different. The other day whilst bending over I looked at my stomach and noticed an indentation about two inches down from my belly button, you can kind of see it too when i stand up. After giving birth, the nurse checked my tummy said my muscles where all attached and not split. But this sounds like spilt muscles to me. It must of have happened gradually. I dont mind it but worry that its the beginning of some pregressive split? Has anyone experienced this? Any tips on making it better. Dont really want to bother doctors with this as I'd feel about vain about it.

thanks

LOL! Sorry!

Practical advice, stomach crunches, joining a gym, buying a big blow-up ball thingy and actually using it.

hi

problem is i having been working out... when i can - go for walks mainly but I also go down the gym and do 30 mins of stretches i picked up from yoga classes there after my workout. i always do separate stomach crunchie exercises for the lower and upper abs and my sides. since exercising i have noticed this dip in my tummy. maybe exercise was the cause?!?!

i know this sounds vain - i would never say such a trivial thing to the doctor and i cant say it to my mum friends as there bellies are bigger and i know that would p* me of if i where them and my mum and friends would say "i wouldnt mind my belly like that"...

so my only hope is you guys...

Just noticed this, when you say a dip in your stomach do you mean it is doming when you are doing crunches/sit-ups, this can be a sign of split muscles, if it's not fixing itself with exercise you really should see a Dr or perhaps ask the advice of a fitness instructor to get them to knit together again.
