Yes - and unless there's something about ibuprofen specially that bothers him, he can take that, too.

What one is he on?
I have awful sciatica at the moment and am dosed up on ibuprofen and paracetamol and I am on beta blockers.

The high blood pressure tablets dh is on don't allow ibuprofen or the decongestants in cold medicine

I would speak to a pharmacist and ask. I'm not sure it's ok and wouldn't rely on strangers on this one!

Go into a pharmacy and ask (telling the pharmacist exactly what he's taking for high blood pressure). Relying on random people on the internet giving advice is not the best way forward as you have no idea if they are medical professionals or just (hopefully well-meaning) people basing it on their opinions.

Ha Wolfie, cross-posted with you! Excellent advice though.

Yes I've also been told no ibuprofen, and no decongestants (so no Day/Night Nurse). However when I've really needed them, I've taken them on occasion, as I thought the risk to my blood pressure was worse by being in pain, not breathing well, etc.! I do try other remedies first.

Cat I thought so! Our local pharmacy will answer questions over the phone. I would rather take a couple of minutes of their time than risk makings DH ill.
