Has anyone had this done for heavy periods?
I have been offered this - I'm on a waiting list.
It sounds awful - but I am a wimp - and I'm thinking of giving it a miss tbh.
Apparantly it's quite a new procedure - drug free - to stop heavy periods. As an outpatient you have heated saline washed about inside the womb and the heat destroys ('cooks' was the word the gynea chap used ) much of the lining and either stops or decreases heavy periods without drugs or hysterectomy. Not ok for women who want more babies though.
I don't know anyone who has ever had this.
