I'm following you tonight aren't I .

A friend recommended a mixture of (I think) lemon, honey, cardamom, ginger - all mixed together with hot water. It has you hawking horribly and spitting up the most revolting stuff but is very effective.

i too have a terrible cough and had a cold and before that tonsilitus all in the space of two months!!

don;t bother going to the docs or not mine anyway you'll just get told to sit in a steamy room, he wouldn't even give me antibiotics for tonsilitus? (until i burst into tears )

hmm, maybe it was cloves, not cardamom...
maybe both.

what about steaming? That might help the catarrh I think. And cut down on your dairy intake for a bit was the advise I was given.
Hope you get better soon.

Yep. Dairy. That's what I was going to say. It worked for me and two of my ds's.

One of my ds's used to make enough snot, daily, to fill a large bucket. He used to sneeze out great ropes of it blasting them across the room. In desperation I took him to a witch doctor, I mean naturopath, just before he started school and she suggested cutting out dairy. Miraculous. He's snot-free.

He has a bit of dairy now and again but nothing like what he used to have.

sorry to hear that you are poorly again lulu....

Not sure doc will be any good to you - unless you suffer from sinus problems. (my sinusus got infected almost everytime I had a cold, so at one point I had to go on antibiotics every time I got a cold just to ensure that I didn't get an infection)..

Is the phylem on your chest or just your head? if check I would also go as you have had it a long time... (as you know I was given antib last week for a chest infection and its not nice)..

Hope you get better very soon - you must be very run, get that DH of yours to give you more days off....

take care
