pregnant while taking Tamoxifen

I have been really silly/irresponsible. I had one night of unprotected sex. I have now discovered I am pregnant, home test, hasn't been confirmed by doctor yet.

So I have been on Tamoxifen for a while now, and obviously was taking it when this little miracle was created. Have spoken to Oncologist who says a termination would be the safest option as the drug 'could' cause birth defects. Also the drug is weirdly used in fertility treatment?? So this could end up being a multiple pregnancy.

I am still in shock, and still feeling stupid. But at the same time a small part of me is very happy, although also very scared. I have an appointment with GP on Monday and an early scan arranged by Oncologist for later in the week.

I have looked on line and can't find any information on success rates, for babies conceived while the mother was taking prescription drugs. Was hoping someone might have a story to share, good or bad!

I'm currently thinking that this probably won't end well. But I still have an element of hope!
