Contraceptive advice:persona?

Just wondering if anyone can recommend persona (or similar) or enlighten me about any recent contraceptive discoveries! Have come off the pill after best part of 15 years (interrupted to have dcs obviously!) and hate condoms, not keen on idea of coil. Am wondering about a fertility monitor based approach as wouldn't be disastrous if we did get preggers again, we're just not actively see king to IYKWIM!

depends how fertile you are and how 'active' you are...

i tried the persona after my 2nd, on the basis it wasnt the end of the world if i got pg again...(i had just had 2 13months apart)... but no3 came along 18m later, so it didnt work for me, obv!

it takes it a few months to 'work you out', you have to be v organised about doing the tests and pressing the buttons on the right days etc.

i think it can be done, but you have to be more organised than i.

everybody i know just snorted derisively when i told them about trying it tho... (and they were right to in the end, werent they?)

thanks for that - I think anecdotal evidence is far better than statistics - just checked the persona website and must say didn't sound that easy to use plus I have very long cycles.
