how many teeth is ds meant to have? could he be teething at 3years?

it doesn't feel like there is any room at the back, but he had an earache for only one night this week (and complained that his cheek as well as his ear hurt) and has very red cheeks today. he is just turned 3

On that helpful chart of twickersmum the #6 teeth are adult teeth (my DS got them at 6 and a half). #5 teeth are the ones that come through when they are toddlers. My DS got his between 2 and a half and 3.

When did your DS get his other teeth? Can't you play a game to count them?

do they shift about though? once they are through?

Don't think so ...
He could have had an ear infection you know ... DS (pre grommits) would often have a raging ear infection and apart from crying out once or twice in one night I couldn't really tell as he doesn't 'do' illness unless he has a very high temperature ...
Why don't you get him an appointment to get his ear checked?
