Hi,

My daughter has just moved from Epilim liquid to tablets and has just finished her first month, I'd picked up a new prescription from the chemist, checked they were the same as I always do...BUT, I've just gone to get her evening dose and I've noticed these Epilim tablets are a different shape. On closer inspection and a bit of googling, I've worked out she must have been taking Epilim Modified release tablets, which are sort of oval shape, and she's now been prescribed Epilim Gastro resistant tablets...same dosage, but different shape, these are round.

Is it ok for her to mix the two? Or do I need to take them back? I'm completely out of the other ones! Grrr!

If anyone can advise I'd be really grateful x

My DH who is a pharmacist says it's a dispensing error and you need to take them back to the pharmacy. Tonight if you go to a late night pharmacy (supermarket usually) they'll be able to give you an emergency supply of the modified release ones until you can get them changed.
