Oh, dear, katiemac - I hope it's something fixable...

mears's son's friend who she's mentioned a few times (this is the most recent) has been treated for osteosarcoma in his knee - I don't know if that's the same?

Good luck anyway

I have calmed down a bit now but when you read things you panic....it's prob only a precaution

God, you must be worried sick, KatieMac. I don't suppose this will be of much comfort, but it's vanishingly rare to see any kind of family clustering of osteosarcoma, and when it does occur it's almost always in families that have multiple childhood tumours (i.e. you'd know by now). It's really not one of the types of cancer that runs in families. Have you got long to wait for the X-ray?

Thank goodness for tamum's knowledge KatieMac - hopefully the GP is not as clued-up as she is on osteosarcoma. Hope you can have the x-ray and the all-clear very soon. What a worry for you. Good luck.

My Xray is next Wed pm - so not long really

I'll phone my Bro this evening (he lives abroad) & pick his brains - he was diagnosed at 19
